DESOXYCHOLATE CITRATE AGAR (Eur. Pharm) - 500 g

Moderately selective and differential medium for the isolation of enteric pathogens, especially Salmonella and many Shigella species

Packaging

Suspend 69.5 grams of the medium in one liter of distilled water. Mix well and dissolve by heating with frequent agitation. Boil for one minute until complete dissolution. AVOID OVEARHEATING. DO NOT AUTOCLAVE. Cool to 45-50ºC, mix well and dispense into plates.
