Angle stopcock with needle valve, GS Series

In borosilicate glass

Angle stopcocks made of borosilicate glass with needle valve, designed for fine and controlled regulation of gas or liquid flow in laboratory apparatus.

The angled configuration redirects the fluid path by approximately 90°, making these stopcocks particularly useful in assemblies where space must be optimized or the direction of the line needs to be changed.

The needle valve allows progressive and precise flow adjustment, with a bore opening range of 0–3 mm.

The borosilicate glass body provides good chemical and thermal resistance, as well as excellent transparency for visual monitoring of fluid flow.

These stopcocks are therefore suitable for laboratory circuits, gas lines, vacuum systems, and experimental apparatus requiring reliability, precision, and compatibility with a wide range of reagents.

CodeDescription
GS/010/702Angle stopcock with needle valve bore Ø 0÷3 mm

Scientific blown glassware is manufactured through hot working of borosilicate glass, a material particularly suitable for laboratory applications due to its thermal and chemical resistance and its ability to withstand thermal shock. Shaping is carried out by localized flame heating, controlled rotation of the workpiece, and air blowing, allowing precise geometries, uniform wall thickness, and smooth transitions with minimal internal stress.

The main processing techniques include blowing, drawing, constriction, expansion, glass-to-glass sealing, and the manufacture of standard ground joints, fittings, hose connections, stopcocks, and special connections. Particular attention is paid to concentricity, wall-thickness uniformity, and the continuity of welded joints, all of which are essential for reliable performance during heating, vacuum operation, and fluid transfer.

After forming, the glassware undergoes controlled annealing to reduce internal stresses generated during hot working. This process improves mechanical stability and resistance to thermal shock, making the glassware suitable for both standard laboratory applications and custom experimental configurations.
