The IKN Series Ultrasonic Cell Disruptors are professional instruments designed for homogenization, cell lysis, nanoparticle dispersion, emulsification, and intracellular compound extraction. By utilizing high-intensity ultrasonic cavitation, they provide rapid, efficient, and highly reproducible processing of biological, chemical, and pharmaceutical samples.
Operating Principle
- Electrical power is converted into a high-frequency signal and transmitted to a piezoelectric transducer, which converts it into high-frequency mechanical vibrations. These vibrations are amplified and transferred to the titanium alloy probe (sonotrode).
- When the sonotrode is immersed in a liquid sample, it generates intense pressure waves that create millions of microscopic bubbles. The rapid collapse of these bubbles produces the phenomenon known as ultrasonic cavitation, which is responsible for the high mechanical energy generated within the liquid.
- The shock waves generated by cavitation create extremely high localized pressures, enabling:
