Standard medium for the detection of antimicrobial inhibitors in meat and organ samples

Packaging

Suspend 25.5 grams of the medium in one liter of distilled water. Mix well and dissolve by heating with frequent agitation. Boil for one minute until complete dissolution. Sterilize in autoclave at 121ºC for 15 minutes. Cool to 45-50ºC and aseptically add a spore suspension of Bacillus subtilis (BGA) containing approximately 1x10^7 cfu/ml (final concentration in mediim 1x10^4 cfu/ml). Pour into plates. The prepared medium should be used inmediatelly.
